Planting seeds, online and offline

As the title suggests, I did some gardening this week.
The IRL part was really not that interesting, it’s just funny that it happened to be the perfect weather this week for digging up our beloved garden, making way for vegetables in the spring and summer.

At the same time, as mentioned in last week’s entry, I did set up my Digital Garden. It was tremendous fun, tinkering around with the codes and architectures, tailoring every last detail to my liking. From now on, there you can find a true glimpse into my mind, see how my ideas are connected, how are they formed by each other.

I started out with the first sapling right away, and I chose the Dunning-Kruger effect for the purpose. This is my favourite cognitive bias, and it will most likely make an appearance in several notes along the way.

The other big projects were related to the MSc applications I am submitting, it’s quite an administrative challenge, but a good ol’ spreadsheet helped me out just right. A friend of mine said, that I seem to have a spreadsheet for everything. It surprised me quite a bit, even though, he’s not wrong, I do have a few, but I didn’t think it showed from the outside.

This weeks entry is a bit shorter, I hope the garden and my first sapling can make it up to you, at least to some degree.

As always, thanks for reading, and I hope to see you next time,

G
